Cool Things to BuyRocking the Boat Profile: Kevin FergusonKevin joined Rocking the Boat in 1998, as an 11th grader, when it first began operations in the Southwest Bronx . He was an extremely enthusiastic member of our first program and took on a great deal of responsibility in the Shop. Kevin became the first ever Rocking the Boat apprentice that summer following and took an important role in developing Rocking the Boat's programming as he worked over the next year. He spent that year applying to colleges and was accepted to a Marine Biology program at Roger Williams College in Rhode Island . He continued working through the summer, running our on-water education programming, and in fall of 2001 went away to College. Now he is a sophomore at Roger Williams and plans to graduate in 2005. |
