The very back-bone of Rocking the Boat’s On-water Program relies on the Program Assistants, Job Skills Apprentices and the On-water Students. We are people just like you who found love for maritime life and the environment.

Program Assistants

The Program Assistants (PA’s) assist the On-water Program Directors in teaching the after school and day programs. They’re the ones that help the students with questions while still helping the Program Directors do what needs to be done.

Job Skills Apprentices

The Job Skills Apprentices are former students who moved up to the next level. They’re the ones who compile the work from all the On-water programs and send the data to our scientific partners. These Apprentices are also junior scientist based on the work they do and know the background of Rocking the Boat and the Bronx River. To understand more about who we are, click here.

On-water Students

The beginning of RTB starts with the students. Both the PA’s and Apprentices are former students. The students are the one who gather most info in the field (on the river)
