boatbuilding

Students in the boatbuilding program will build a small traditional wooden sailboat from scratch. They learn all aspects of the boatbuilding process including reading boat plans, creating the molds around which the boat is built and designing planks. Students create something that is not only beautiful but really works.



on-water

The On-Water Program combines Maritime Skills and Environmental Restoration. Students will embark on half and full-day adventures exploring the waterways surrounding the Bronx. They will learn navigation techniques and act as caretakers, working to improve the ecological health of the Bronx waterways.
