Rocking the Boat Boatbuilding students completed this 17-foot, Rangeley Lakes Boat in spring, 2007 and Boatbuilding Apprentices have restored her to near perfect condition. Featuring two stems (no transom in this double-ender) constructed of Angelique, White Oak, and Northern White Cedar, Range is narrow, shallow, stable, and an ideal fishing and pulling boat. The Rangeley Lakes in northern Maine were noted for sudden summer storms and this boat was designed to handle them and bring her passengers safely to shore.
