Rocking the Boat empowers young people from the Bronx to develop pride, purpose, and possibility through hands-on programs in boatbuilding, sailing, and environmental restoration. Rocking the Boat creates a supportive community where participants learn to chart their own futures and become agents of change in their neighborhoods. Our work addresses systemic inequities with programs that are as practical as they are transformative.

1. Go online or call (877) 957-2277 to fill out the donation form. Provide us with some information about your vehicle and where it will be picked up.
   
   
2. A towing agent will contact you within two to three business days to arrange a pick up time most convenient for you.
   
   
3. After your car is sold, you’ll receive an email that includes a tax receipt. 

What vehicles can I donate?
We accept all types of running and non-functioning car donations. Trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, planes, heavy machinery, trailers and RV's are accepted on a case-by-case basis. If you have questions about a vehicle you’d like to donate, call us at (877) 957-2277.

Do I need a title to donate my car to Rocking the Boat?
If you can’t find your title, you’ll have to order a replacement vehicle title through the New York Department of Motor Vehicles. 

What do I do with my title one I have it?
When you donate a car to Rocking the Boat, you’ll sign your title over to Advanced Remarketing Services. You will print and sign your name as the seller. If you have any questions about filling out your title, give us a call at (877) 957-2277. 

How much money does Rocking the Boat receive from my car donation?
Our partners at Advanced Remarketing Services return 75-80% of the gross selling price for your car donation back to Rocking the Boat, the highest of any vehicle donation program!

 
Will I receive a tax receipt?
Yes! Within 30 days of the sale of your vehicle, you will receive an email with a tax receipt for your car donation which includes:

• The gross selling price of your car, if sold for greater than $500.
• Vehicle year, make, model, and VIN.
• A statement that the vehicle was sold at arms-length between two unrelated parties.
• A statement that no goods or services were received in return for your donation.

Can I donate a boat?
Yes, Rocking the Boat will accept boat donations on a case by case basis. The sale of the boats will support the great work of RTB. These are speciality items and will need to be assessed accurately prior to accepting the donation.
